Temporomandibular disorders
and orofacial pain
It is a pathology that affects the muscles of the face and neck and the jaw joint caused by stress and disharmonies in the teeth.
SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS: If you have any of the following discomforts, it is likely that you are a clencher (bruxer) and you need to undergo an examination to diagnose and solve your problem.
- Very frequent headaches
- Stiffness in the neck and shoulders
- Ear pain and ringing in the ears
- Joint noises
- Difficulty and pain when opening the mouth
- Interrupted sleep

Treatment: Relaxation plates
These are removable devices made of hard acrylic that are usually placed on the upper arch. They serve to prevent clenching and wear of the teeth, damage to the jaw joints and relieve pain in the muscles of the face and neck.
A poorly designed or poorly adjusted plate, which does not relate well to its antagonist, instead of alleviating the problem, can make it worse.
